Orléans sits at the other end of Ottawa from Kanata, so for most Orléans families the best way to cook with Cookiddoo is at home: we bring a 2-hour hands-on class or a cooking birthday party to your house, in English or in French. Schools and daycares in Orléans can book workshops on site. Children 8 to 13 who want a full course can join the Junior Chef Academy in Kanata on Wednesday evenings.

A private cooking class at home in Orléans
A private class works for a birthday, a group of friends, cousins visiting, or a PA day. We arrive with ingredients, tools, gloves, aprons, portable equipment and a menu chosen in advance; every child cooks their own dish and one drink from scratch, and we clean up before we leave. Menus include pizza from the dough up, fresh pasta, mini burgers and fries, chicken nuggets, cupcakes, mini bento cakes and brownies. Baking menus need an oven; without one, we pick a no-cook menu.
Pricing: $485 for 8 children for 2 hours, $50 per extra child up to 11, $150 deposit credited to the total. Because Orléans is farther from our base, the travel fee is arranged individually depending on your address.
Classes in French
Orléans has one of Ottawa’s largest francophone communities, and many families here want activities in French. All our private classes, parties and school workshops can run in French. French-language information: cours de cuisine pour enfants à Ottawa and cours de cuisine à Ottawa.
Workshops for Orléans schools, daycares and camps
Teachers and directors in English and French school boards can book a one-time cooking workshop or a 4- to 10-week after-school series at their own site. Up to 10 children per instructor, up to 30 per session with assistants, 45 to 90 minutes by age; a no-cook format needs only tables. See schools and daycares.
The Junior Chef Academy for Orléans kids
The course runs in Kanata on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 PM; the fall 2026 group meets October 21 to December 16, with no class on November 11. OpenStreetMap routing gives about 42 km and 37 minutes from the Ray Friel Recreation Complex area without traffic, and weekday rush hour adds more, so this suits families who work or study in the west end.
