Dive into a world of healthy food, fresh ingredients and cooking skills!
July 6 we invite kids to a cooking class where we don't just make poke bowls, but learn how to chop like real chefs.

Young chefs will learn basic slicing techniques: how to hold a knife correctly, how to safely cut vegetables, fruits and proteins, and how to create neat and beautiful ingredients. After practice — assembling your own poké bowls with tender teriyaki chicken and your favorite toppings.

The workshop is suitable for children from 6 to 15 years old and will take place in the cozy studio of Cookiddoo in Ottawa — fun, educational and delicious!

What's in store for your child:

Kids learn basic chef slicing technique hands-on: the safe "claw" grip, how to hold a knife, and how to cut vegetables, fruit and chicken into neat, even pieces before building their poke bowl. Knife confidence is the heart of this Ottawa kids cooking class.
Yes. We use child-appropriate knives, keep groups small (up to 10 kids) and a chef guides every cut using the claw grip, so safe knife handling is taught step by step at our Kanata studio.
Tender chicken glazed in sweet teriyaki sauce over a rice base, plus fresh vegetables, fruit and toppings each child slices and combines themselves. Ingredients include wheat, egg, milk and citrus — the recipe can be adapted, just tell us when you book.
It is designed for children about 6 to 15 years old, because it involves guided knife work. It is a drop-off class held in the cozy Cookiddoo studio in Kanata, Ottawa.
Each young chef takes home their own assembled poke bowl with teriyaki chicken, a personalized name certificate, the step-by-step recipe, and new confidence with a knife.
The class runs about 2 hours as a drop-off session at the Cookiddoo studio, 150 Katimavik Rd, Kanata, Ottawa.
