In this Ottawa kids cooking class your child kneads pizza dough from scratch, blends fresh basil pesto, tops their own salami-and-cheese pizza, and mixes a fizzy pineapple lemonade to serve alongside it.
Yes. Kids blend fresh basil, olive oil, cheese and garlic into real pesto, learning how to balance herby, salty and garlicky flavors before spreading it over their pizza base.
Children juice fresh pineapple and lemon, sweeten it to taste and add sparkling water for the bubbles, leaving with a homemade summer drink that pairs perfectly with their pizza.
Your child practices kneading and rolling dough, blending a fresh pesto, layering pizza toppings evenly and mixing a carbonated drink - hands-on kitchen skills they can repeat at home in Kanata.
Each child takes home their own pesto-and-salami pizza baked from start to finish, a personalized certificate and a recipe card so the family can make the pizza and pineapple lemonade again.
The dish uses wheat dough, cheese and milk, fresh basil and citrus. We can adapt parts of the recipe - please tell us about any allergies when you book this Kanata kids cooking class.
